Justin Banks

 

Justin Banks is a film composer, guitarist, and music producer whose work blends cinematic storytelling with modern emotional intensity. A graduate of the prestigious Film Scoring program at Berklee College of Music, Banks has built a growing reputation for delivering emotionally-driven scores across narrative film, documentary, comedy, and musical projects.

 

His recent work includes the award-winning film Washington Avenue, which has received recognition across multiple film festivals, earning wins at nine festivals along with more than two dozen additional honors and honorable mentions. The soundtrack release for Washington Avenue is available on all major streaming platforms.

 

Banks is also attached as composer for the upcoming feature film This Has To Stop, which began as a short proof of concept before expanding into a full-length feature currently in development. In addition, he is completing work connected to the mob comedy Pasta and Cheech Crew while continuing involvement in multiple independent film and post-production projects.

 

Beyond film scoring, Banks is recognized for his high-level musicianship as a guitarist and composer, combining orchestral writing, hybrid production techniques, and live instrumentation into a signature cinematic sound. His background in both traditional composition and modern music technology allows him to work fluidly across orchestral, rock, hybrid, and contemporary cinematic genres.

 

Working primarily from his studio-based production environment using industry-standard orchestral and scoring tools, Banks focuses on creating music that enhances story, character, and emotional impact while maintaining a strong modern sonic identity.
